What the Aurora layout looks like
A full-width accent header carries your name, title and optional square photo. Below it, a wide main column holds summary, experience, education and projects, while a tinted right column lists contact details, personal data, skills as chips, languages and certifications.
The photo only appears if you upload one. In the builder, the Show these details? panel lets you show or hide the photo, date of birth, nationality, marital status and visa status — and that single setting applies to the preview, the PDF, the Word file and printing.
Who the Aurora template suits
Think twice for: Very long careers (the side column fills up quickly) and conservative sectors such as law or government, where a single column reads as more formal.
Is Aurora ATS-friendly?
Two columns. Most modern parsers read the main column correctly, but contact details sit in the side column. For online portals, download the Text PDF or .docx, which put everything in one linear column.
Whatever design you choose, the builder's Application view shows the same content as a simple one-column page, and the Text PDF and .docx downloads keep selectable text in a clear reading order. Tips for a stronger Aurora resume
- Keep skills to 6–10 short chips so the right column does not grow longer than the main column.
- Pick an accent that prints well in greyscale — mid-tone blues and corals work better than yellow.
- Leave the photo out for US, UK and Canadian applications; the header still looks balanced without it.

Can I remove the coloured header in Aurora?
The header band is part of the Aurora design. If you want a white header, Compact or Signal give a similar structure without the colour block.
Where does the photo go in Aurora?
A rounded square photo sits in the header next to your name. It only appears if you upload one, and you can hide it with the Photo setting.
Is the Aurora template free?
Yes. Aurora is free to edit and download as a PDF or Word (.docx) file, with no sign-up and no watermark.
Can I switch from Aurora to another template without losing my content?
Yes. Your details are stored once and every template reads the same content, so switching designs never deletes anything. You can also undo a change.
