Privacy Policy
Last updated August 12, 2026
Your resume is built entirely inside your own browser. The text, dates, photo and contact details you type into the builder are never sent to our servers, never uploaded, and never stored by us. We literally cannot see them. The only data we handle is anonymous, aggregate website analytics and the advertising cookies described below.
1. Who we are
QuickCVLab ("we", "us", "our") operates https://quickcvlab.com, a free online resume and CV builder. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. The data you type into the builder
The resume builder runs as client-side JavaScript. Everything you enter — your name, work history, education, skills, photo and any other content — is processed and rendered locally on your device. To make your work convenient, a copy may be saved in your browser's local storage so your draft is still there if you close the tab and return later.
- This saved draft lives only in your browser. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else.
- You can clear it at any time by using your browser's "clear site data" option, or by clearing the form.
- When you download a PDF or Word file, that file is generated on your device and saved straight to your downloads. We never receive a copy.
3. Information we do collect
To keep the site running and free, we collect limited, non-personal information:
- Anonymous usage analytics — pages visited, country, device type and similar aggregate statistics, used to understand which guides and tools are useful. This does not identify you personally.
- Interface preferences — for example, the language you choose is remembered in your browser so you don't have to set it again.
- Server logs — like most websites, our host records standard technical data (IP address, browser type, time of request) for security and abuse prevention.
4. Cookies and advertising
We may display advertising to keep QuickCVLab free. When advertising is enabled, third-party vendors — including Google — use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices.
- Where required by law (for example, under the EU GDPR and ePrivacy rules), you will be asked for consent before non-essential cookies are set.
5. Legal bases (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process the limited data above on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functional, free website, and — for advertising and analytics cookies — on the basis of your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
6. Your rights
Because we do not hold your resume content or an account profile, there is generally no personal file for us to retrieve or delete. For the limited data we do process (such as analytics or cookie consent), you may, depending on your jurisdiction, have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict it, and to object to processing. Contact us at [email protected] to exercise these rights.
7. Children
Our service is intended for job seekers and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
8. Third-party links
Our guides may link to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to read their policies.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves or as the law changes. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
