About QuickCVLab
The free resume lab where your data never leaves your browser.
QuickCVLab is a free online resume and CV builder made for job seekers everywhere — whether you're applying for your first job in Mumbai, a graduate role in London, an engineering position in Berlin, or moving careers across the United States.
Why we built it
Most "free" resume builders aren't really free. You spend an hour perfecting your resume, click download, and suddenly there's a paywall. Others quietly upload everything you typed — your full name, address, phone number and work history — to their servers. For a document that contains so much personal information, that never sat right with us.
So we built the opposite: a resume builder that is free to download, asks for no sign-up, and runs entirely inside your browser. Your information is rendered on your own device and never sent to us. When you hit download, the file is created locally and saved straight to your computer or phone.
Your resume content never leaves your browser. No upload, no account, no catch. We can't see it — and that's by design.
Built for a global job market
Hiring is international now, but a resume that works in one country can be quietly rejected in another. A photo is expected in Germany and discouraged in the US. The UK wants a personal statement; North America wants achievement metrics. QuickCVLab bakes these differences into the builder with one-click country format presets for the USA & Canada, the UK & Ireland, continental Europe, Asia & the Middle East, and Latin America.
You can also write your resume in any language or script — Latin, Cyrillic, Devanagari, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese and more — and switch the interface itself between 12+ languages.

Editorial standards — who writes this and how it is checked
Responsible for the content on this site: Mantu Kumar. Every guide is written, edited and reviewed by a named person, not generated and published unread.
How we produce the country format guidance
Our international guidance is not opinion. Every country rule we publish — whether a photo, date of birth, marital status or nationality belongs on the document, the expected page count, the local date order and the language — is compiled from three kinds of source, in this order of weight:
- Statutory and official material — national equal-treatment and anti-discrimination law (for example the UK Equality Act 2010, and US EEOC guidance), official EU Europass documentation, and government immigration and work-permit pages for visa and permit categories.
- Employer-facing convention — the application requirements that national employment agencies, university career services and large employers publish for candidates in that market.
- Cross-checking between independent career-guidance publishers, and only where at least two agree. Where sources genuinely disagree, we say the rule is optional rather than picking a side.
What we deliberately do not do
- No invented reviews or testimonials. We have never published a customer quote, star rating or "trusted by X users" figure that we could not evidence, and we would rather show nothing than show that.
- No fake freshness. The "last reviewed" date on a page changes only when the page is actually revised — it is not set to today's date automatically.
- No AI-generated filler. Guides are written and edited to answer a specific question, not padded to hit a word count.
- No guaranteed outcomes. No resume tool can promise interviews, and we do not claim it can.
Review cycle and corrections
Hiring conventions change. Country guidance is reviewed every 3 months, and any page is revised immediately when a law or an official format changes. Each guide shows its published date and its last reviewed date at the top, so you can judge how current it is.
If you work as a recruiter or HR professional in one of the markets we cover and something we have written is wrong or out of date, please tell us at hello@quickcvlab.com. We correct errors and update the reviewed date rather than quietly editing.
Limits you should know about
This site publishes general formatting guidance, not legal or immigration advice. Conventions differ between employers inside the same country, and an explicit instruction in a job advertisement always overrides anything we say. Our ATS checker tests structure and keywords against documented parsing rules — it cannot tell you which specific applicant tracking system a given employer runs.
