Cookie Policy
Last updated 20 October 2026
This page explains the cookies and similar storage used on QuickCVLab. It sits next to the Privacy Policy. The short version: the resume you type is not a cookie and is not sent to us.
What we do not store in a cookie
Your name, phone number, work history, photo and the rest of the resume stay in your browser's local storage so the builder can reopen the draft. That storage never leaves your device. Clearing site data in the browser deletes the draft. We cannot recover it, because we never received it.
Essential storage
These items are needed to run the site. They are not used to advertise to you.
- Cookie choice — a local storage entry named
qcl_cookie_consentthat remembers whether you chose “Essential only” or “Accept all”. It stays on your device. - Resume draft — local storage used by the builder so a refresh does not wipe the page you are editing.
- Interface language — the language you picked in the header, so the next page opens in the same language.
Optional cookies
These are used only to keep the site free and to see which guides are actually read. They are not required to build or download a resume.
- Advertising — if Google AdSense is enabled after approval, Google and its partners may set cookies to measure and, where the law allows, personalise ads. You can refuse personalised ads at aboutads.info/choices and read Google's description at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
- Analytics — if a Google Analytics tag is configured, it records aggregate visits such as pages and country, with IP anonymisation turned on. It does not receive the text of your resume.
Your choice
The banner at the bottom of the page offers two buttons. “Essential only” records a refusal of optional cookies. “Accept all” records that advertising and analytics cookies may be used. When you pick “Essential only”, Google is asked to serve non-personalised ads. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie Settings button in the footer of every page.
People in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom should be asked before non-essential cookies are set. The banner is that question. Essential storage, described above, does not wait for a click because the builder cannot remember a draft without it.
How to delete them
In Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, open the site settings for quickcvlab.com and clear cookies and site data. That removes the draft as well as the cookie choice. Do this only after you have downloaded the resume you want to keep.
